Workstation Unresponsive

Tickets for slow or unresponsive workstations should include in the description if they are completely frozen or just operating very slowly. If they are frozen please do not do a hard reset, (hold power button in the off position), as this has a good probability of rendering the operating system inoperative. Just issue a ticket so it can be addressed as soon as possible. If a reboot in the middle of the work day is required just submit a ticket with that request as that can be done immediately by remote. If a system is slow, just start closing windows, as too many open will slow machines with minimal amounts of memory. Also browsers with too many open tabs will slow machines to a crawl. Try these suggestions first before submitting a ticket.
